Heavily grogged stoneware dish or shallow bowl with unglazed base and rim, and dark umber interior with pitted irregular surface and black and white glaze-over-glaze decoration.
Incised on base 'M'.
3.5cm high and 24cm in diameter.
This piece is roughly made.The body has numerous dents and pits in the clay which are part of the making. On top of that, the interior is crazed and has lost some of its patina through use, and there is a chip in the unglazed clay under the rim.
