James, John

John James is a Queensland potter who works with a wood-fired kiln and salt glazes. He started to work as a potter in the mid-1990s after his government job was transfered to Warwick in south-east Queensland. His work is featured on Page 42 of Pottery in Australia vol 33 number 3 Spring 1994. His mark is an impressed 'JJ' which looks like two arrows forming a circle.
