nthony Conway began working as a ceramic artist in the early 1980s and has entries in the 1988 and 1996 directories. Based in Bendigo, Victoria, he specialises in crystalline glazes on both thrown, handbuilt and slipcast forms, sometimes exhibited as groups. His recent work breaks new ground by using flowing crystalline glazes on geometric forms. Since at least 1988 he has been lecturing at the La Trobe University Bendigo Campus (previously the Bendigo College of Advanced Education) and he currently coordinates the Bachelor of Visual Arts course there. He has himself obtained a Bachelor of Visual Arts from La Trobe University and also completed an Honours year. Work may be marked with an incised 'AT Conway' (his middle name is Thomas) or just 'Conway'.
