Artisan Pottery

Artisan Pottery was a joint venture of Rudolf Sibrava and Lisa Boyter, two graduates of the Tasmanian State Institute of Technology, Launceston. In 1989, they started producing a range of terracotta pieces with handpainted floral designs under the name Artisan Studio Ceramics. They moved the studio from Launceston to a former apple packing shed in Robigana in the early 1990s, where they also produced a range of crater glazed vases and decorative plates. Since 2001, both have primarily practiced under their own names. Artisan Pottery work may be marked with an impressed 'A' and three dots, or an 'Artisan Studio Tasmania' stamp.
