Trevor Spohr completed a Visual Arts degree majoring in Ceramics at the Queensland College of Art in 1986 and has been practicing professionally ever since. In 2008. he was appointed to the position of Arts and Cultural Development Officer for Fraser Coast Regional Council. Prior to this, he taught ceramics for around 10 years at Wide Bay Institute of TAFE. He has also been involved in a number of public art projects. His works are marked with an impressed 'Spohr'.
