Warren Arthur

Warren Arthur (1958- ) studied at Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education, then trained with Victor Greenaway for six and a half years, before establishing his Amesfield Pottery in Upper Beaconsfield in 1986. He wrote about his time at Broomhill Pottery in "Forming the foundation", Pottery in Australia, 24/4 (1985), pp. 24-25. He has an entry in the 1988 potters' directory, and his red, black and gold ware was illustrated in advertisements for Port-O-Kiln (aust) Pty Ltd in a range of journals in 1994. He signs his works with a painted 'WA' monogram and an impressed 'A' for Amesfield Pottery.
